Our Environment

The school is set at the edge of the village of Bolton-on-Dearne and is  surrounded by fields on three sides, with views of the open countryside between Barnsley and Doncaster.

The school is set amongst extensive school grounds. These grounds consist of a playing field, magnetic games area, playgrounds, ponds, wild- life area, marsh, bird hide, outdoor classroom, picnic tables, woodland seating area and a section dedicated to large outdoor play equipment. The majority of the school grounds are bordered by mature trees.

A multi-use games area built to Sport England 7-a-side standards was completed in September 2006. This is used for PE lessons and by the school’s Playleaders for organised lunchtime games.

Please call in at the school office if you would like to have a look around our school.
