School History

The school was officially opened in September 1976 as a brand new school drawing children from the local area. All the schools in Bolton became combined infant and junior schools at this time. The Headteacher was Miss Dobbs and the Deputy was Mr Moran.

We are very much a family school with many older brothers, sisters and parents having attended Heather Garth themselves.

In recent years the school has undergone lots of building work to extend the school so that it can offer the local community and children better facilities.

We have a large team of parents and friends who help in school on a regular basis and volunteers are always welcome.
